OH hi! It is me Kaytie just sporting my vintage attire!
Hi I’m Kaytie (that’s Kaytie with a y and ie )
Welcome to my little creative world! I am so excited that you stopped by to sit down and look through my blog. Whatever the reason you stopped by, I am grateful that you did. So I ask you to sit down and enjoy a cup of tea or your favorite snack and join me on this journey called life.
To start my blog, isn’t this exciting! I would love to introduce myself to you. As mentioned before my name is Kaytie with a y and ie! I love how creative my parents were with my name.
The creative gene runs strong in my family starting with my grandma! Oh how I miss her, but so thankful for the memories and her legacy. She was a seamstress and do it yourself type of person. Growing up through the great depression definitely helped with that. She passed along the creative genes to my mom who is an avid scrapbooker and crafter. And the genes kept going to my sister and I and we both have dabbled in many creative avenues.
Through my childhood and high school years I was involved with musical theater and taking classes to support that. Sewing my own cosplay and vintage inspired outfits. Listening to all of the Jazz and swing era music while starting my vintage inspired wardrobe. Every Christmas I would learn a new skill and make presents for family and friends, this definitely is still happening.
I bet by now you are asking, wait aren’t you a photographer and this is a photography blog?
Well yes, yes it is and I am getting to that.
In high school I wrote a report on the American Photographer Margaret Bourke-White. Margaret was a war correspondent photographer, a photojournalist and a documentary photographer. Her architectural photographs inspired me as well as her daring personality! I developed my passion for photography through this report. I then decided to obtain my certification in commercial photography from a local college. I learned many things during this time and I am still learning more day by day!

I decided to take a break from pursuing my photography career for a while. I still dabbled in it here and there. My now husband and I were getting married and setting up our family. This time was precious and needed us most to focus on having steady income as we made our foundation.
Flash forward and now we have a little one. Our little one is oh so sweet. It was time for me to refocus my career to what I had been longing to do: Branding Photography! I love focusing on Brand Photography and helping businesses succeed. I still occasionally take the time to capture memories at weddings, couples in love, and of course vintage fashion!
I am excited to share my compassion, storytelling, vintage loving, and creative brand photography with you. I enjoy helping local individuals and small businesses, like yourself, by providing images that capture the vibe and essence of your brand in a uniquely creative way. These images help you shine above the rest!
This stage of life is filled with many blessings, trails and excitement and I am so excited to share my Branding Photography journey with you! I am here to capture YOUR story!
Now is the time! Come take the next step on this adventure of Brand Photography!
